Lesson Highlights

In 1 Samuel 8, Israel asked for a king like the nations around them, reminding us that human solutions can never replace trusting the Lord.

In 1 Samuel 9–10, Saul was chosen and anointed as king, showing that the Lord can call and use someone who may seem ordinary or unlikely.

Saul was humble at first and even hidden among the baggage, teaching us that the Lord values a willing and modest heart.

In 1 Samuel 13, Saul acted before fully obeying the Lord’s command, reminding us that obedience and patience matter more than outward success.

The Lord looks on the heart, so we can seek faith, humility, and trust in Him in our daily choices.
